From June 2011 the courtyard of Beit Theresienstadt will change.

The Olenik family in Netanya, owners of the “Olenik” company pledged to donate to Beit Theresienstadt the complete renovation of the courtyard, including paving, outside seating for lectures and a plaza for ceremonies and events.

The “Olenik” company, founded by the father Eliezer Olenik, a Holocaust survivor, regards Holocaust remembrance and the company’s contribution to the Emek Hefer community, where it works, as very important.

The new courtyard was designed by the landscape architect Rakefet Sinai; the project was endorsed by kibbutz Givat Hayim Ihud and by the District Council Emek Hefer.

The new courtyard will welcome the students of the coming school year, immediately after the summer vacation 2011.
