At a special event, the president of the Czech senate Mr. Přemysl Sobotka bestowed a silver medal of the senate to 23 persons and corporations, for their contribution to furthering ties and Czech culture in Israel.
The ceremony was held at the Czech embassy in Tel Aviv, in the presence of the ambassador Mr. Tomáš Pojár.
Beit Theresienstadt was among the bodies receiving the medal; it was represented at the event by Ruth Bobek and Oded Breda. Among those receiving a medal were some of our members - Ruth Bondy, Hugo Marom, Yehuda Manor, Hanan Bachrich and others. The event in the Czech Embassy website
