Educational Center
· About 7,450 pupils visited Beit Theresienstadt between January and December for study days conducted by the educational center.
· 50 pupils and researchers at various levels were instructed and used material from our archives for their research studies.
· 100 teachers from Israel and abroad participated in seminars and study days.
· Beit Theresienstadt took part in a teachers' seminar in Yad Vashem in July 2009.
· Recruitment of new instructors for the educational center including professional training – July 2009.
· "Prigat" employees – guided visits.
· Seminar in Beit Theresienstadt for personnel of IDF military physical training school – December 2009.
· Regional council passed a decision to support visits of schools from the Emek Hefer area to Beit Theresienstadt.
· Educational center hosted family gatherings dealing with introducing their younger generations to their family past.
Visits Annually - About 10,000 visitors per year.
Special projects
· "Flower for a survivor" – special program designed to instruct youth helping Holocaust survivors.
· "Our newspaper" – program for 5-6 graders.
· Special project for gifted pupils – "How to Write History"

· Memorial football tournament for "Liga terezin" in collaboration with Emek hefer regional council.
· Special study days for pensioners.
Special functions
· Holocaust day "open house" for members of the association and Emek Hefer residents. 80 survivors and their families participated. The renovated historical museum was inaugurated during that day – April 2009.
· Anita Tarsi retired from her position as general director and Oded Breda came in her place, in February 2009. Farewell party for Anita was held in June 2009.
· The seminar – "Women and Holocaust" took place in October 2009, for the fifth time, in Beit Theresienstadt, Beit Berl and Beit Lohamei Haghetaot. It attracted about a 100 people who visited the exhibitions and listened to the lectures.
· The Museums Council visited our museum as part of recognition process. It presented its recommendations towards continuation of this process.
· Regional council of Emek Hefer initiated a joint venture between Beit Theresienstadt and Shem Olam to conduct a study day to mark the end of Holocaust day.
· 250 members of the association with their families took part in the annual international meeting in Beit Theresienstadt – May 2009.
· A special study day to commemorate "Kristallnacht" took place in Beit Theresienstadt hosting some 300 guests of the Association of Israelis of Central Europe Origin in collaboration with Yad Vashem – November 2009.
· Chanukah 2009 – volunteer day Chanukah party – hats off to all volunteers of Beit Theresienstadt.
· Minister of Welfare, Mr. Yitzchak Herzog visited Beit Theresienstadt - December 2009.
Exhibitions
· The exhibition "Escaping their boundaries – children of ghetto Theresienstadt" based on 42 originals from the collection of Beit Theresienstadt was open to the public at Anna Frank Center in Manhattan, New York. It ended in June 2009 and was returned to Beit Theresiensatdt.
· "Liga Terezin" - by the artist Guy Raz was exhibited at Nelly Aman gallery in Tel Aviv using materials from the archives of Beit Theresienstadt. April-June 2009.
· "Liga Terezin – youth and sports in Theresienstadt" a new exhibition opened in Beit Theresienstadt in September 2009.
Third generation activities
· "History Music and memory" – annual week-long seminar took place in Beit Theresienstadt in August 2009. 2 concerts with an audience of 200 people each were performed at the end of the seminar in which young musicians and composers participated.
· Memorial football tournament.
Special projects abroad
· Mr. Oded Breda represented Beit Theresienstadt at the international congress for Holocaust Era Assets in Prague in June 2009.
· Collaboration with the holocaust museum in Romania, Salaj area.
· Visit of German judges to clarifylegal matters regarding compensations for holocaust survivors accompanied by the lawyer Mr. Levi.
· Visit of Maccabi England.
· Visit of heads of regional councils from Bosnia-Herzegovina, twin cities to Emeq Hefer regional council.
Computerization
· Updating of the computerized database.
· Research of family names and other names per requests of researchers.
· Creation of family photo albums on the site.
· Beit Theresienstadt appears as a museum on Facebook.
· Beit Theresienstadt opened a U-tube channel.
· Replacement of internet site host and e-mail systems.
· Preparations for a new internet site using modern technology.
· Replacement of local network and building a new back-up system.
· Purchase of new archive software. Implementation due in beginning of 2010.
Archives
· Cataloguing new items received by the archives.
· Cataloguing and preservation of original items donated to the archives.
· Upgrading of the archives, cataloguing of books.
· Translations of documents, researches, books and more from Czech and German to Hebrew and English.
· Aiding researchers, teachers and students.
· Digitization of recorded testimonies.
Publishing
· "Dapei Kesher" – Nrs. 66, 67 – bi-annual magazine in Hebrew, English, German.
· Publishing of album "Working in a Trap" – October 2009.
